It’s rare for Nintendo offers refunds on eShop purchases, but the glitchy circumstances of Sonic Colors: Ultimate's Switch launch have led to a significant exception from Nintendo. Preorders of physical versions can be cancelled, and digital copies can be apparently refunded by calling Nintendo. One of their posts details how fans can refund both physical and digital versions of the game. With the current state of the game in mind, Twitter user CaptainVXX reports that they were able to successfully refund their Switch copy of Sonic Colors: Ultimate.

The company is usually strict with offering refunds for games, but the rough release of Sonic Colors: Ultimate has seemingly allowed for more leeway in customer refunds. With the number of glitches in Sonic Colors: Ultmate, Nintendo is reportedly more flexible in offering refunds for the buggy Nintendo Switch release.
